On living in New York

I love New York – best times of my life. Moved in 2009 and still have an apartment there so I like to think I still haven’t left.

On Moving From New York To Paris

One of the things New York gifted my was an encounter with the mother of my daughter who is French, so for the last year we’ve been based in Paris. Two amazing cities that are polar opposite for me. Walking through Paris is like a museum, New York, a jungle – the people are polar opposites too.

On living in a foreign culture

It is amazing how different cultures think, work, act, holiday differently like the saying goes.. when in Rome… It’s a lot of fun being abroad, there is so much to experience. When in New York we were doing cheap getaways to Tulum, now in Paris I just found a return 60 euro ticket to Madrid.. so many new weekend adventures to take advantage of.

On living abroad in france

The beauty of Paris lies in the indulgence, passion, and an amazing history. If you are looking for people wearing free hugs signs on the streets of Paris, you may be dissapointed

On Cultural Differences Between Paris and New York

Paris is French, New York is global.

On inspiration in Paris

The city of Paris is unbelievable, I’m in awe every time I ride around the city. There are also the most amazing food markets ever. Also things like health care are amazing here, in New York you better hope you don’t hurt yourself.

On One Thing Everyone Should Do When They Arrive In Paris

Get a bike and ride around

On Neighborhoods

10th is my fav.

Walking through Paris is like a museum. New York, a jungle – the people are polar opposites too.

On Good Coffee

Go to a Tabac, and ask for an espresso, for me Paris is still in it’s first wave of coffee – a small plastic cup is how they serve it here. Also go to Canteen California – they have a great burger and a coffee machine.

On Getting Out Of Town

Anywhere that you can get in less than three hours is a good weekend destination, so there are a lot of options. South of France is obviously divine, and the alps are even closer if you want to stay in the country.

On Something That’s Hard To Find

I’m Turkish and there is the best kebab spot in the world here called – URFA DURUM in the 10th go there.
