Footwear designer Safa Sahin is renowned for creating surreal designs that meld sculpture and function; his hands-on process of finding inspiration, sketching and building pieces has resulted in works so unique that he has held exhibitions of his pieces in the USA, Italy and Turkey. Recently, his reputation has taken him from his homeland of Turkey to Portland, Oregon, and designing for footwear giants Nike, as well as continuing to produce for his own, eponymous label.
