Ajiri Aki

Born in Nigeria and raised in Austin, Texas, Aki worked across various cultural institutions, fashion magazines and film production houses before moving to Paris and founding Madame De La Maison, a linens and antiques boutique that aims to celebrate the art of the table and the joy of hosting. Whether it’s strolling around its famous brocantes or people-watching by the Palais Royale, for Ajiri Aki, to be in Paris is to be a flâneur — to aimlessly wander and absorb the joie de vivre that runs through the city’s veins.
