Inspired by his experiences with his New Zealand heritage and culture, Ben Shewry established his restaurant Attica after moving to Melbourne, Australia, and seeing no corresponding love of indigenous cooking techniques. The desire to promote and share native Australian ingredients and to acknowledge Indigenous cultures in his recipes fired his creativity, and has since led to a sweep of international accolades and Attica being named among the top 20 restaurants in the world.
