Polish architect and author Daniel Libeskind has created buildings in Berlin, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Toronto, Milan, Seoul, London and more. But after more than 60 years based in New York, it’s there that he can truly be said to be at home. There for the building of the World Trade Center – and later helping to rebuild the neighborhood after it fell – he refers to his relationship with the city as ‘one of true love’, embracing and inspired by the speed of life and thought there.

Originally from Poland, New York-based architect and author Daniel Libeskind was a masterplan architect for the new World Trade Center and 9/11 memorial.
