Ian Strange

Using suburban houses as a canvas through which to delve into the theme of home, Ian Strange has carved himself an artistic niche with his monumental ‘Suburban Intervention’ projects. Housing was a subject very much front of mind in 2009, when he made the move from his home in Perth, Western Australia, to New York; arriving in the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis, Ian’s new location enabled him to take a different perspective on his work.
