Lara Khoury

Born in Lebanon, designer Lara Khoury studied fashion in Paris, a city she soon came to think of as her ‘second home’. Returning to Lebanon for a holiday in 2006, however, she was caught up in the outbreak of war and unable to leave, deciding to relocate her eponymous label to Beirut. Building the brand into one replete with wider meaning and social significance, she is now starting again after the Beirut explosion of 2020 destroyed ten years of her work.
