Maggie Hewitt

A strong desire to shake up the unsustainable practices of the global fashion industry led New Zealander Maggie Hewitt to create her label, Maggie Marilyn. Drawing on a childhood spent surrounded by sustainable farming in New Zealand’s Bay of Islands, Maggie took her brand back to basics, creating complete transparency from farmer through to runway. Since launching her label in Auckland in 2016, Maggie has traveled the world, working, learning from all members of her supply chain, and creating more just and sustainable practices. Despite the lure of New York’s high energy or Europe’s fashion pull, it’s to the quiet calm of her hometown Kerikeri that Maggie heads to create and design.
