MaggZ

Working across all art forms is what makes movement artist MaggZ alive. Born in Kunming, China, and classically trained in ballet for seven years as a child, she’s now a multidisciplinary artist specializing in waacking — a freestyle dance originating from the 1970s Los Angeles Latinx and Afro-American communities. Based in Melbourne, MaggZ explores everything from street dance battles and live performances to installations, production, and creative direction.
