Music has always been Mina Okabe’s world. From London to New York, Copenhagen, Manila and annual trips to Tokyo, the Danish-Japanese singer-songwriter grew up listening to what was popular in the various countries she lived in, and started writing her own music at the age of 15. Seven years later, the young artist’s radiant and dreamy indie-pop tunes have caught the attention of Universal Music, while her top single from her 2021 debut album was streamed over 28 million times. After this nomadic childhood, Mina longed for a more permanent base, and has since created a cozy home for herself in Denmark.
