Falling in love with Europe after a visit as a 13-year-old, Nadav Kander left South Africa to live in London – the place to be for photographers in the 1980s. He has spent the decades since travelling the globe – from Los Angeles to Chernobyl – and capturing images of both landscapes and the figures who dominate them, whether that be President Obama, David Attenborough or David Lynch. Throughout his work, he continues to examine solitude and the human condition, always returning to his studio in London’s Kentish Town.
