"There are airbnbs anywhere on that stretch from Haleiwa to Sunset Beach, and it's just beautiful. If you stay at Sunset, you can ride your bike to Pipe — everything is crazy close there. Where I come from, Kauai, everything's a little more split apart."

"For food, go towards Kahuku or Haleiwa; you can find all kinds of restaurants that way. Turtle Bay also has a couple of bars and places to eat. I really like Lei Lei's Bar. I'd say go there over anything in Turtle Bay."

"Pupukea Grill, to me, is the spot for sure — above everything. It's a couple of ladies in a truck by Shark's Cove. They have crazy specials, and they always look after the boys. The Hawaiian bowl is my favourite; it's a spicy poke with Kalua Pork, rice, sweet potato, and lomi salmon, a power bowl."

Pupukea Grill

"The east side way to North Shore Oahu. If you have a long day and no place to be at a certain time, drive to the east side. You can see a lot of real Hawaii when you go through Kailua's side rather than just driving on the freeway straight to the North Shore. You get to see the pineapple fields, and the east side is cool to check out if you're going for a drive all day."
