Palazzo Pianetti , home of the Civic Art Gallery since 1981, is a significant example of eighteenth-century architecture. Begun in the mid-18th century on commission from the noble Pianetti family of Jesi, it acquired its current appearance in the middle of the following century, when it was renovated on the occasion of Vincenzo Pianetti's marriage to a descendant of the Azzolinos.
