"What is really cool about the city is that a lot of migratory birds come in the winter, so if you're walking around this lake — it's like a good two-kilometer walk — then you will definitely spot some pelicans. It's a mesmerizing walk, so I highly recommend it."

"The Arlines Hotel is my favorite place to take people for breakfast. I like it because you sit under this giant banyan tree that has been there for over 40 years — at least since I've known of its existence. So you are having this lovely breakfast of good masala dosa under this huge banyan tree."

"Going to bookshops within central Bangalore has also been my major haunt. I like walking around Church Street or Brigade Road, and you can go to Higginbothams or Blossom Book House, lots of these lovely bookstores in this little avenue."

"If you want to go to the Old City, then go to Koshy's because this place has existed for a really long time. And I like the ambiance there. They serve a great coffee or beer and smiley smiles — these are like potato wafers. And most artists used to hang out there, so it's also a good place to meet someone."

"The local bar that we go to is called Knowhere. What I like about this bar is that you can bring your pets. Their rooftop bar is very unassuming, but it's lovely and open. And then you can walk in and make friends, both pets and humans, and you can have the lovely local beer there."
