"New York has a reputation for bagels, and it's real. I'm a little bit spoiled and I don't bother getting bagels outside of New York now. My favorite bagel in the city is Court Street Bagels, in Cobble Hill. I'd say you need to get lox, cream cheese, capers — all the real Jewish delicacies."

"Every Saturday, there's a farmers market in Fort Greene Park and a woman has a food stand there [Maíz a Mesa]. She and her mom sell Mexican food. They make really good tamales, and it's different every week."
