Despite a recent move north of the Thames, British-Australian folk-pop musician Sophie May has called South London home for a long time.

"London can often feel a bit heavy and claustrophobic and so going to the woods, I think, has been really nice because you kind of get a bit of an escape, especially when everything's really muddy and kind of that smell of like wet leaves mixed into kind of sludge. I quite like that."

"You could get a coffee from Lordship Lane. There's a place called Jade I used to always go to which is really good and I get good coffee from there."

"It’s like a little cocktail bar and it's crazy. It's really tiny. You go in and it's just like filled with plants and sofas and all the little cocktail glasses that they give you are unique and individual."

"They always seem to get some really good bands in. Depends on what kind of music you want. But I find every time I've gone there, I've enjoyed whatever I've seen. They get a lot of acts that are just starting out, which I love seeing and there's a really strong community there."
