Jiabao Li

Award-winning artist Jiabao Li finds her sweet spot where technology, art and design meet. Born and raised in China’s northeast, Jiabao then studied in Singapore. Following the pull of world-beating tech, the multimedia artist moved to San Francisco, where she worked for Apple, inventing and exploring new products, interfaces, and technologies. Today, her insatiable appetite to understand and explore the world around her sees her travel extensively and spend extended stretches in places like Hawaii and Alaska. There, Jiabao researches and creates ecological art, films, performances, installations, and scientific experiments in collaboration with indigenous communities, animals, and landscapes.
